Sunshine Coast Health Centre (SCHC), a best-in-class trauma and PTSD treatment program located in Powell River BC Canada, is proud to announce a staff reassignment to bolster its service offerings. Long time staff member, Davis Briscoe, who’s been working at SCHC for 10 years (as a massage therapist for his first 8 years, and then as a Somatic Counsellor since 2019) is now the new facilitator for SCHC’s OSI (occupational stress injury) and Trauma Group.
“We’re excited for him to blend his experience in somatic counselling into the group therapy for clients and alumni with PTSD, occupational trauma, and other trauma experiences,” explained Casey Jordan, Chief Marketing Officer. “We are constantly improving our trauma and PTSD treatment programs in British Columbia, and drawing clients from not just Vancouver or Victoria but from Edmonton, Calgary, and other cities throughout Canada.”

Davis has been with SCHC since 2007 working as a massage therapist. As the Somatic Counsellor, Davis is passionate about his work and grateful for the opportunity to be able to help support clients in discovering their fullest potential.
Davis helps clients work through depression, fear, and anxiety as well as developmental trauma and acute or gross trauma like PTSD, sexual abuse, violence, or verbal abuse.
